One of my resolutions for 2008 was to keep in better touch with family and friends. I realized that was a good resolution after a friend sent me a Christmas card indicating that she didn't even know I was pregnant, let alone had a four month old son.
So here we are Karl, Laura, Murphy & Nolan. Our Christmas was a good one. It was quiet, although short for the Fletcher side as the weather shortened our time together. The kids had a great time. David got some of the largest gifts I have seen. Sarah is going to have to get a larger car soon. We had some new attendees, Sharon is Geoff's new girlfriend and David is Sarah's new boyfriend (yes, another David).
2007 is winding down and for us it was a very good year. We knew we were pregnant at this time last year, but didn't tell anyone until Valentines Day, or there-abouts. It was an incredibly exciting time for us. Many of you know my struggles through the years, with all kinds of drugs and surgeries but I can tell you with absolutely no hesitation that all those years of struggle were worth it. We had a benefit for David in February and it went very well. His prognosis continues to be good and we continue to pray for his health and happiness. The summer passed quietly as I got bigger (and BIGGER). We spent Memorial Day in Door County and a long road trip was a challenge at 6 months pregnant. We enjoyed the quiet (very quiet) time.
We celebrated our 2nd year anniversary with a nap, and just about everything else, with a nap. Nolan joined us on August 8th at 3:38 in the afternoon. Just two days after our due date. The labor was, well, labor and the important thing was that we were both healthy. He is a beautiful, happy baby boy and I am just thrilled to be his mom.
That is all I can write for now. More to come soon, to bring you up to date with our lives. Here's to 2008!
