It is hard to believe that Nolan is 5 months old today. Time sure is flying by, and it is absolutely amazing how fast he changes. Already Nolan is able to roll over quite well, both front-to-back as well as back-to-front. We can really tell he is anxious to start moving, as he gets frustrated when there are toys just out of his reach. While we are very excited to see him crawl, once Nolan becomes mobile, look out world. There is lots to do to make sure he can move around this house safely.
Nolan loves his Jumparoo! (thank you Sarah!) He just goes crazy in that thing, which means that we can have almost a half-hour to get things done while he entertains himself. I'm starting to think that Nolan, like most boys, is going to be a bit of a thrill seeker, as he really likes the activities that involve lots of motion - jumping, bouncing, and running. It will be interesting to see what he likes in the future.
Not much planned for his 5 month birthday. A couple naps, and a visit by Aunt Tivoli. This weekend we are planning to start the process of getting him to fall asleep by himself, and hopefully, sleep through the night. So far he wakes up twice a night, and with Laura working and me heading back to my last semester of graduate school, we both need to make sure we get as much sleep as we can. It will be challenging, but the rewards will be worth it.
